About Playtimes Magazine

Playtimes started it’s life as a newsletter magazine for the Hong Kong Pre-school Playgroup Association (HKPPA) in 2001, and provided information for parents of pre-school aged children, covering education news and lists, parenting tips and social activities for both parents and children. Playtimes in it’s current magazine format, was first published in November/December 2002. In 2014, Playtimes inaugurated its website and social media pages and in 2017, the digital magazine was launched and is viewable through Playtimes’ website. To this date, 16+ years later, Playtimes is still bringing you a fresh and vibrant perspective on parenting with it’s monthly feature articles that cover infancy to teen age years, travel, style, wellness and much more. Playtimes also keeps you up to date with what's happening in education, events, news and activities for parents and children in Hong Kong. Playtimes is HK's leading English medium parenting magazine.

Every issue of Playtimes gets picked up and read in over 25,000 Hong Kong family homes – that adds up to a lot of readers. 97 out of every 100 readers said they had bought a product or used a service as a result of having seen it in Playtimes. That’s significant buying power.

  • Playtimes is a free publication

  • The current print run is 35,000 copies per issue

  • Published as a print publication four times a year, to coincide with the seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter

  • The ever popular and useful The School Book supplement is published and distributed in May

  • Over 30 advertisers have been with us since our first issues in 2003
